‡Enrollees in programs eligible for Tuition Cap pricing will pay the same tuition cost per quarter credit hour and fees as for other undergraduate programs/enrollees plus $200 per-term administrative fee and other fees.  The total cost of the program, though, will be capped, other than applicable background check and/or lab fees. Savings based on the difference between capped and noncapped programs for 180 or 90 credits for bachelor’s or associate’s degrees, respectively. The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) program at the University of Massachusetts is designed to assist RNs who have an MS degree in nursing with specialty concentration as a clinical nurse specialist to gain the knowledge and clinical experience that will prepare them to sit for a national certification examinations offered by American Nurses Credentialing Center or the Acute Care/Critical Care (CCNS) by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). This 12 credit post master's course can be completed entirely online.

Registered nurses (RNs) with a master’s degree in nursing could prepare to advance their careers by enrolling in the School of Nursing’s graduate-level Family Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care Certificate program. This program allows RNs to combine their current nursing skills with training in the safe, effective practice of primary care for the management of acute and chronic health problems of both adult and pediatric patients.
